Learner's Licence requirements

In Queensland, you can apply for a class C (car) learner licence when you are 16 years and 6 months old.

Visit a Queensland Transport customer service centre or a police station or QGAP office if you live in a rural area. Phone 13 23 80 for more information.

To apply for a Learner's licence, you need to:

  • Complete an application form.
  • Show evidence of your identity.
  • Show evidence of your Queensland residential address.
  • Pass an eyesight test if required.
  • Pass a written road rules test (fees apply)
